Same here! I've been watching tv with my sketch pad a lot lately and just flipping through it I can see I'm getting better.... But every time I sit down at the computer I never paint :( always manip... 2013 maybe :D

Hahaha.. Yeah if we can survive from 2012. ;) However, I think the manip skill can be very useful for painting too, Do you agree?

I 100% agree it can be useful!!! For me it both helps and hinders though. I'm trying my hardest to get away from a manip mind set and look at my piece as a whole.... I'm still so new... Not a pro like you :) one day maybe ;)

Haha.. I'm not pro either, I'm still learning =D The reason I still have to do many manips is for many contest both in and outside dA. ;) I started my art skill from pencil drawing but I have never do it again since I have computer and always busy with photoshop in the last 10 years. I guess it's about time to renovate my drawing skill again. However I prefer drawing/painting with computer. It's much more comfortable. :P
